Review Methodology

How we evaluate AI tools.

AI Linkbase reviews are designed around practical buying decisions. We evaluate tools by how well they solve a real workflow, not just how impressive they look in a demo.

Output quality

How strong, accurate, useful, or production-ready the tool output is for its primary use case.

Pricing value

Whether the free tier, paid plans, limits, and upgrade path make sense for the target user.

Ease of use

How quickly a new user can get value without confusing setup, hidden steps, or fragile workflows.

Workflow fit

How naturally the tool fits into real creator, developer, marketer, student, or team workflows.

Integrations

Whether the tool connects well with other products, APIs, editors, browsers, automation tools, or team systems.

Reliability

How consistently the tool performs over time, including speed, stability, support, and product maturity.

What our ratings mean

Ratings are directional signals, not absolute truths. A tool with a lower overall rating can still be the right choice for a specific workflow, budget, or team requirement.

We prefer scenario-based recommendations such as "best for long-form writing" or "best for budget video creation" over universal winner claims.

How each page type is reviewed

  • Tool reviews summarize the product, best use cases, pricing, pros, cons, and alternatives.
  • Comparison pages focus on tradeoffs between two specific tools and name the better fit by scenario.
  • Stack pages recommend a practical combination of tools for a workflow, budget, or role.
  • Best guides rank multiple products and explain which tool fits each use case.
